The Call of Duty League returns this weekend on a new patch and with a new map. After the Toronto Ultra won Major 1 in Boston, the competition looks fierce going into the next stage of the season.

Entering the qualifiers for Major 2, Breaking Point has updated our rankings for the Objective Player of the Year race. Players are ranked based on their performances from the first set of qualifiers and the Major looking into Hardpoint Hill Time, SnD plants/defuses, and Control Tiers captured per attacking round. These rankings will continue to change, as the new patch will spice up the competition, but this piece serves to give a great insight into how the season has gone so far!

Storylines to watch

After cracking into the Top 5 for the first time this season, Simp will have a tough schedule to begin the stage. Atlanta faces Miami Heretics in the first week, then New York Subliners in the second week. While the matches aren't against any of the Top 4 teams from Major 1, they are against teams that match up well against Atlanta and are firmly in the top portion of the League. This gives Simp a great opportunity to solidify his spot in the Top 5 with great performances in the opening weeks.

The reason Dashy fell to 2nd place revolves around his struggles in Search & Destroy.
