Vancouver Surge announce Black Ops 7 roster
The Vancouver Surge have officially unveiled their starting lineup for the Black Ops 7 season, and it’s one of the boldest roster moves of the entire offseason. The franchise has signed former Halo standout Kaci "Lqgend" Sabri, rising star Isaiah "Gwinn" Gwinn, sophomore AR Noah "Lunarz" Whillock, and rookie Ronald "Abe" Abraham, forming a young, high-upside roster built around raw skill and untapped potential.
Lqgend’s arrival is the headline move. After establishing himself as one of the top players in the HCS, he’s making the full switch to Call of Duty following the end of the Halo World Championship. His transition follows the path of elite multi-FPS players like Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro and Matthew "FormaL" Piper, names who found championship success in both titles. Vancouver believes Lqgend has that same ceiling, and they didn’t hesitate to build the roster around his arrival.

Alongside him is Gwinn, the former CDL Rookie of the Year who continues to rise as one of the most promising young talents in the CDL. Gwinn had interest from multiple teams, but the chance to team with Lqgend and help lead a fresh project in Vancouver made the Surge the ideal landing spot. The franchise also adds Lunarz, an AR with impressive mechanics, who showed glimpses of potential during his first CDL season with the LA Guerrillas M8. With a more defined role and a stronger supporting cast, Vancouver is confident he can take a major step forward.
Rounding out the lineup is Abe, who burst onto the scene at the Esports World Cup with his first Tier 1 performance for Toronto Ultra, finishing third in his first major appearance. His performances instantly made him a sought-after player, and Vancouver securing him adds even more upside to the group.
The Surge has taken a swing, one built on talent, potential, and a belief in long-term growth. While this roster may be young & hit stumbling blocks, it’s undeniably dangerous. If the pieces mesh early, Vancouver could emerge as one of the league’s biggest surprises in Black Ops 7.
