Temp, Attach, & JKap Rank Every CoD Champs Winner by Season
Three well-known figures in the Call of Duty scene—Temp, Attach, and JKap—recently sparked debate across the community by dropping a tier list ranking every CoD Champs-winning team based on the entirety of their respective seasons. Rather than focusing solely on each team’s Champs performance, the list looks holistically at dominance, consistency, event wins, and overall impact throughout the full year. Naturally, the tier placements had fans fired up, and Reddit had a lot to say.
The Tier List:

S Tier:
○ Complexity (2014)
○ OpTic Gaming (2017)
○ Atlanta FaZe (2021)
A Tier:
○ Fariko Gaming (2013)
○ EnVyUs (2016)
○ eUnited (2019)
○ OpTic Texas (2024)
B Tier:
○ OpTic Texas (2025)
○ LA Thieves (2022)
○ Dallas Empire (2020)
○ New York Subliners (2023)
C Tier:
○ Denial Esports (2015)
D Tier:
○ Evil Geniuses (2018)

The S Tier received nearly universal praise, with Complexity (’14), OpTic Gaming (’17), and Atlanta FaZe (’21) being widely viewed as three of the most dominant rosters in Call of Duty history, as these teams not only won Champs but dominated nearly every phase of their respective seasons.
But it was the B Tier that sent Reddit into an uproar, particularly the placement of New York Subliners’ 2023 roster.
"Tier list of what? How good they were that year? NYSL 5-0’d finals and won 3 events..." — /u/Nytrousx
"Brother I swear these tier lists are almost as bad as the average redditor tier list. NYSL had the most dominant Champs finals win and 2 out of 4 majors wins and are B tier. And they are below Dallas Empire who won an Online Champs tournament LMAO" — /u/8TDon
Many pointed to the Subliners' near-flawless Champs Grand Finals performance and two Major titles as worthy of at least an A Tier nod, if not higher.
And then there’s Evil Geniuses (2018)—the only team sitting in D Tier. While their stunning Champs run remains one of the most unexpected victories in history, the roster struggled for most of the WWII season. Fans seemed to agree with the placement... in a roundabout way.
"If I get a time machine, I'm going to WWII Champs to dump all of EG's controllers in salt water and give ‘em back right before grands." — /u/Da_Truth1400
The trio's decision to weigh season-long consistency and dominance over just the Champs weekend itself has made this divisive, but an interesting way to compare the Champions. For example, OpTic Texas (2025) was placed in B Tier despite winning Champs this year, due to an up-and-down regular season. Meanwhile, OpTic Texas (2024) landed in A Tier, credited for multiple event wins and consistency leading into Champs, despite only winning one other Major.
Love it or hate it, the list offers a fresh perspective on how greatness is measured in Call of Duty history—not just by the ring, but by the road it took to get there.
