The LA Thieves have created the next super team in the Call of Duty League.
The franchise has agreed to pay the buyout clauses of Thomas “Scrap” Ernst, Dylan “Envoy” Hannon, and Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez from their respective franchises. The four superstar players will join Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe, who competed on the Thieves roster during the Modern Warfare 3 season and was voted as the 9th best player of the season.
Scrap & Envoy are departing the Toronto Ultra franchise after a lackluster season. After winning the season's opening major, the team failed to bring any more trophies to Toronto. The team would only reach one more Grand Finals, during Major 3, ending the year with a Top 8 finish at the Esports World Cup.

Individually, both were top players this year. Scrap ended the season with a 1.16 overall KD while leading the League in damage output in all three modes. The superstar AR was voted the #3 Player of the MW3 season, the Best AR Player, the Best Hardpoint & Control player, and was second in MVP voting. Envoy finished with a 0.99 overall KD, including a 77.8 Slayer Rating, and was consistent across online & LAN. He was voted the #19 Player of the MW3 season while earning a vote in the SMG Player of the Year.

Rounding out the squad is the Modern Warfare 2 MVP HyDra. HyDra departs the New York Subliners after winning Champs in 2023. The superstar SMG has proven to be one of the best SMG players in each of his four professional seasons. Paco finished MW3 with a 1.13 overall KD, the highest of any SMG player, while leading the League in Slayer Rating (89.9). HyDra was voted as the #2 Player of the MW3 season, the second Best Hardpoint & Control player, and finished 3rd in the MVP voting.
The star-studded roster will constantly compete against OpTic Texas & Atlanta FaZe to win championships next season.
