MW3 AR Player of the Year Ladder | May 13th
Heading into Major 3 in Toronto, it is time to update our rankings for the AR Player of the Year race. This time around, instead of Breaking Point compiling the ranking, we reached out to see how the fans rank the competition.

Storylines to watch
None of the Big 4 (ATL, TX, TOR, NY) play each other in the first round of Major 3, but that doesn't mean that there won't be upsets. New York faces an LA Thieves team that is scrappy and not an easy out. Toronto goes against Seattle, who have great fundamentals in Hardpoint & are dangerous in SND. Carolina always plays better on LAN, so Texas can't overlook them in Round 1. Overall, while it looks like it will be straightforward, surprises always happen when we least expect them.
1) Thomas "Scrap" Ernst - Toronto Ultra

Scrap took the 1st place position in the fan voting with an average placement of 1.61. Overall, he was awarded 62% of the 1st place votes, more than double that of the next player in Cellium. In total, 95% of Scrap's votes were either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place votes. In the eyes of the fans, Scrap is the clear-cut best AR player this season so far.

Cellium finished second in the fan voting for the award. He had an average vote of 2.15, just behind Scrap but well above the rest of the pack. MC had 28% of the 1st-place votes and 48% of the 2nd-place votes, which were the most out of any player. While his efficiency is unparalleled and on the best team in the game currently, fans viewed his impact as slightly lower than Toronto Ultra's star.

While Drazah ranked 3rd on the previous edition of the AR Player of the Year Ladder, it is surprising to see this position with fan voting. It's not that he is undeserving, as he has played fantastic this season, but that he cleared both OpTic players by a good margin. Drazah finished with an average placement of 3.47. He gained the most 3rd-place votes, obtaining 41% of the total, and 23% of his votes landed in the Top 2. Overall, fans valued his impact on Atlanta FaZe so far this season.

Kenny had an average position of 4.19 in the rankings, making the Top 5 in 80% of the votes. He led all players with 43% of the 4th-place votes, more than double of the next closest player. He also received the 3rd most 3rd-place & 5th-place votes in the poll, which comfortably put him in the Top 5 of the rankings.

Rounding out the Top 5 AR Players of the Season voted by the fans is Dashy of OpTic Texas. The Star AR finished with an average vote of 4.33, falling just behind Kenny's 4.19. Both players lost some votes to Ghosty, Attach, Insight, and Skyz which pulled them further away from the Top 3 players in this ranking. Dashy led all players with 36% of the 5th-place votes while also receiving the 3rd most 1st-place votes (5%). This shows that he has the peaks to climb the ranking but will need a strong close out of the Modern Warfare 3 season.
