There are 12 Mastery camos in Modern Warfare 3, each with its own set of Challenges. With 36 total new weapons in Modern Warfare 3, the came grind is real this season. The Borealis Camo is one of the hardest to unlock, requiring players to do a total of six challengers for all 36 Modern Warfare 3 weapons.
To start, players must unlock the Golden Enigma Camo for each weapon. Golden Enigma requires players to complete four challenges per weapon and to fully rank up the gun. The challenges range from 250 Zombie kills to 30 Hellhound kills. The challenges require the players to play differently each time, focusing on different aspects of the Zombies experience.
Once Golden Enigma is unlocked, the next requirement for Borealis is to unlock the Zircon Scale Camo for all 36 Modern Warfare 3 weapons. To achieve this, players must have Golden Enigma for every weapon in the weapon category and complete one additional challenge per weapon. Players must get 300 zombie kills while the weapon has been Pack-A-Punched. Players can see the Pack-A-Punch machine marked on their maps and are allowed to upgrade weapons once in each threat zone.
The final challenge is to unlock the Serpentinite Camo for every single weapon. Serpentinite requires unlocking the Zircon Scale for every weapon in the class, but there is one more challenge to complete per weapon. Players will have to get 10 Special or Elite Zombies kills for each weapon. The Special and Elite Zombies can be spawned onto the map by starting 'Eliminate the Bounty' contracts.
After completing each of the three camos for every single weapon that is new to MW3, Borealis will be unlocked. This camo will take a lot of time and patience but will be extremely rewarding to complete. Good luck and have fun grinding for Borealis!
