Fantasy Players with More Bang for Their Buck

February 10, 2024 4:43 PM

There are multiple strategies for how to build out the best fantasy roster, but every single one requires players to be smart with their budget while getting the most out of each player. When looking at low-cost players, it's important to find a player with a high ceiling & potential to make a bracket run in Major 2. Below are five players that will give the biggest bang for their buck in this split.

1) Jordan "Abuzah" François

Split 2 Price: $5
Split 1 Total Points per Dollar: 58.8 (1st)
Avg Points per Series per Dollar (No multipliers): 5.93 (2nd)

Priced at $5 in standard scoring, Abuzah is one of the best players in terms of value that you can draft. He earned most of his points in SND (158.2 total points), with strong numbers in both respawn modes. The rookie led the Surge with a 1.27 SND KD with strong numbers in kill per round (0.80), ADR (165.85), and opening duel win percentage (51.4%). With the Surge rumored to make a roster change to bring in Breszy & Abuzah moving into an AR role, it could unlock Abuzah to be the player you need to win Fantasy this split.

2) Dillon "Attach" Price

Split 2 Price: $5
Split 1 Total Points per Dollar: 49.1 (20th)
Avg Points per Series per Dollar (No multipliers): 5.94 (1st)

Through all of the struggle in the Legion camp during the opening stage of the season, Attach found ways to greatly impact their series. Attach led Vegas in slaying in both SND (0.74 KpR) and Control (17.9 Kp10M), while having the second-highest mark in Hardpoint (20.7 Kp10M). He also leads the league with 5.94 average fantasy points per dollar going into Split 2. This makes him an excellent low-cost player to select who has a high ceiling if the new-look Vegas can make a run at Major 2.

3) Reece "Vivid" Drost

Split 2 Price: $5
Split 1 Total Points per Dollar: 58.5 (2nd)
Avg Points per Series per Dollar (No multipliers): 5.94 (4th)

The RØKKR struggled at the start of the Major 1 qualifiers, going 0-3 over the opening two weeks. They turned it around to finish 3-4 and then earned a fourth-place finish at the Major. Even with the early struggles, Vivid finished the Split with the 18th-highest points earned in SND and 21st in points earned in Hardpoint. The RØKKR could be in for the same early struggles in Split 2, as they have the hardest schedule of any team in the qualifiers.

4) Tyler "aBeZy" Pharris

Split 2 Price: $7
Split 1 Total Points per Dollar: 56.0 (5th)
Avg Points per Series per Dollar (No multipliers): 5.94 (16th)

In Modern Warfare 2, aBeZy was priced consistently between $9 to $10. After a slower fantasy start this year, aBeZy is now $7 in standard scoring. With a total of 392 points earned in Split 1, aBeZy is worth 56.0 points per dollar heading into Split 2. That ranks fifth in the league, but with the major shift in the meta, SMGs got a big boost. This should rocket aBeZy’s value, which makes this the perfect buy-low moment.

5) Tyler "FeLo" Johnson

Split 2 Price: $4
Split 1 Total Points per Dollar: 18.4 (43rd, didn’t play full split)
Avg Points per Series per Dollar (No multipliers): 5.94 (5th)

Since FeLo signed with the Carolina Royal Ravens, the team have looked rejuvenated. They fought hard at LAN, placing Top 8, but with a full stage of practice and a better gameplan in SND, the Royal Ravens could be an underdog threat. With the second-weakest schedule in the Major 2 qualifiers, targeting a Carolina player could be a fantasy-winning decision.
