We have reached the first Minor Tournament of the Black Ops 6 season. The new mid-season tournament has all 12 teams in a single elimination bracket for reduced CDL points and a $20,000 prize pool. This week will give a crucial boost in points that will be felt later in the season.
Therefore, for the first week of the Breaking Point Power Rankings, the team will offer their Most Valuable Player for the season so far for each of the 12 teams in the CDL.
How the teams are ranked: The writers, stats team, and content team at Breaking Point were polled to rate each of the 12 teams — putting more weight on recency instead of the entire season. Since there have only been two weeks of play, the team was assigned to rank the teams going into the Minor. Each ranks the teams 1st through 12th. After collecting the rankings from the BP team, each team would be given points for each vote, as seen below:
1st – 11 points
2nd – 10 points
3rd – 9 points
4th – 8 points
5th – 7 points
6th – 6 points
7th – 5 points
8th – 4 points
9th – 3 points
10th – 2 points
11th – 1 point
12th – 0 points

Next Match: Saturday, January 11th at 4:30 pm EST vs winner of Texas vs Vegas

Team MVP: Eric "Snoopy" Pérez
Picking the team MVP for Boston was difficult because the team worked so well together. Snoopy is the pick for now with his 1.05 Overall KD and 91.8 Slayer Rating. He has continued to improve in Hardpoint, having team-highs in KD (1.14), Kills per 10 min (27.7), and seconds of hill time per 10 min (78.1). The lone blemish is his Control play, but if he can fix that Boston will continue to be a Top 8 team this season.

Next Match: Friday, January 10th at 3:00 pm EST vs LA Guerrillas M8

The Rokke are sitting with a 2-2 record going into the Minor with a good chance to net some upsets. Their firepower comes from the high-flying entry SMG Nero. His 96.1 Slayer Rating ranks 8th in the CDL, while his next closest teammate is PaulEhx at 26th with an 85.2. Nero's impact in both slaying and damage output is extremely important to Rokkr's success this season.

Roster: Attach - Kremp - Mack - Sib
Next Match: Friday, January 10th at 7:30 pm EST vs Vancouver Surge
Previous Coaches Poll Ranking: 5th [Down 3 Spots]
Team MVP: Makenzie "Mack" Kelley
One of the hardest teams to judge so far, Cloud9 New York ranks 8th largely due to the consistent play of Mack. He leads the team in multiple statistics including Overall KD (0.97), Slaying Rating (92.7), Hardpoint KD (1.07), seconds of hill time per 10 min (60.5), and ticks per attack in Control (1.6). Mack on the SMG has been able to produce in slaying & objective work while his teammates have struggled around him.
9th: Vancouver Surge
Avg Vote – 9.0
Roster: O4 - abuzah - Hicksy - Nastie
Next Match: Friday, January 10th at 7:30 pm EST vs Cloud9 New York
Previous Coaches Poll Ranking: 6th [Down 3 Spots]
Team MVP: Unknown
It is impossible to pick an individual MVP so far for the Surge, as each of the four players have all struggled individually. The highest Overall KD on the team is an 0.95 by Nastie, but none of their players have a positive KD in more than 1 mode. The great news is that Surge have an 8-11 map count even with the major slaying deficit, meaning that if some players can step up the team should be able to get back into the Top 8.

Team MVP: Khalid "Khhx" Almadhi
Yes, the Falcons are 0-4 so far in the CDL after two weeks but there have been plenty of bright spots for them to build off of. Even though he currently had to depart the starting roster, Khhx has been a major surprise. He leads all ARs in Overall KD with a 1.19, showing that he has the individual skill to compete in CDL.
