The Seattle Surge have announced that they have released Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson from the roster.

Arcitys has had bright spots this season but hasn't been able to translate individual statistics into team results. During the Modern Warfare 3 season, Alec has a 0.93 overall KD with a 65.3 Slayer Rating. His Stage 2 was an improvement, leading the Surge with a 1.01 overall KD and a League-high 78.9% non-traded kill percentage.

Seattle has struggled this season, sitting 9th in the season standings with 70 CDL points. They have a 6-13 series record to go with a League-worst 27-47 map count (36.5% win rate). After finishing Top 6 at Major 1, the Surge finished top 12 at Major 2. With the team lacking slaying and cohesion, they chose to act.

Currently, there is no clear favorite to join the starting roster and there could be more changes in the works. With ex-Aw0babobs players Breszy & Abuzah on the roster, it makes sense for the team to look at Cobra as an SMG and moving Breszy to the 2nd AR role. Other options include Miami Open winners Classic, Gunless, Dak, or 04. Many players in the Challengers scene including Brack, Exceed, Wrecks, Cammy, Pentagrxm, and more have proven to be great players in the pit. There will be no shortage of potential players to fill the remaining roster positions.
