The Vancouver Surge has announced the departure of Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks from the organization.
The Englishmen had a 0.85 K/D in the first stage of the season, ranking 49th out of 52 players. While he played well in SND (1.09 K/D & 0.76 Kills per Round), his respawn play wasn’t enough. Hicksy had a 0.79 K/D in Hardpoint and 0.90 K/D in Control. The team will look to increase slaying while adding an SMG whose pace compliments Jovan "04" Rodriguez’s
It has been reported by RonnieIntel that the Surge was looking at both Marcus "Afro" Reid and Travis "Neptune" McCloud as potential additions to the starting roster for Stage 2 in a report yesterday. With the news that OpTic Texas has removed Cuyler "Huke" Garland from their starting lineup, their plans could change rapidly. Previously, Huke played on Surge last season with both Jovan "04" Rodriguez and Jordan "Abuzah" François, making a reunion on the table.
