The Vancouver Surge are looking at Marcus "Afro" Reid or Travis "Neptune" McCloud as potential additions to the starting roster for Stage 2.
After a lackluster start to the season, the Surge find themselves in 9th for the season standings. The team has a total of 40 CDL points, 10 behind the 8th-place position. Jordan "Abuzah" François & Co. have failed to score any points in both the online Minor and opening LAN in Madrid, finishing Top 12 in both. This has left the Surge with a 4-6 series record and an 18-25 map count.

Who is the player at risk of being dropped? Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks. The Englishmen had a 0.85 K/D in the first stage of the season, ranking 49th out of 52 players. While he played well in SND (1.09 K/D & 0.76 Kills per Round), his respawn play wasn’t enough. Hicksy had a 0.79 K/D in Hardpoint and 0.90 K/D in Control. The team will look to increase slaying while adding an SMG whose pace compliments Jovan "04" Rodriguez’s
Neptune has found plenty of success in Challengers in 2025 under the OMiT Brookyln banner. They finished the pool play portion of the first NA Elite with a 4-1 record, taking the top spot in Pool A. Neptune & Co. would go on to win the Playoffs, taking home $24,000. On the other side of the pond, Afro has dominated the EU Challengers Circuit. His teams have placed in at least the Top 3 in every single Cup, while also winning the opening EU Elite as well. Both players are deserving of chances within the CDL based on their early season success.
